Since our inception in 2011, we’ve been committed to being Clean Creatives. From the very beginning, our purpose has been clear: to work only with mission-driven organisations that support people and the planet. Never with those that cause harm or create negative impact - and certainly never with fossil fuel companies, trade associations, or front groups.

Fossil fuel corporations remain the world’s largest polluters and most aggressive greenwashers, spending billions on marketing that masks their true impact. While their ads spotlight renewable energy, 99% of their investments still go into producing more oil and gas. This not only misleads the public, but also poisons the well for brands making real change, fuels cynicism, and places agencies at risk of legal and reputational fallout. For young creatives, many of whom rank climate change as their top concern, working with fossil fuels is increasingly out of step with their values, making it harder for agencies tied to these clients to attract and retain talent.

Now, thanks to the incredible movement Clean Creatives, we can formally pledge that commitment and join a community of creatives who are reshaping our industry. Together, we’re moving away from partnerships that endorse harmful organisations and toward work that drives meaningful, sustainable change. So far, more than 1,400 agencies and 2,500 creative individuals have signed on. We’re proud to stand alongside them.

If you’d like to dig deeper into the impact of fossil fuel marketing, and see how you or your agency can join the movement, explore the Clean Creatives resources. It’s a powerful starting point for understanding the stakes, the opportunities, and the collective action already underway to build a more honest, sustainable creative industry.
