Beyond the badge: Our B Corp journey
At Yoke, we believe design should do good. We're proud to be in the B Corp queue, working toward full certification in the coming months.

At Yoke, we believe great design should do more than look good, it should do good. That’s why we’re proud to share that we’re currently in the B Corp queue, pending assessment, with hopes of becoming fully certified in the coming months.
This milestone is more than a logo on our website. It’s a reflection of the values we’ve embedded into our work, our culture, and our business decisions. The B Corp movement represents a global community of companies using business as a force for good, prioritising people, planet, and purpose alongside profit. It’s a framework that challenges us to think bigger, act bolder, and lead with integrity.
Why B Corp?
Because impact matters.
We’ve always believed in doing the right thing, but the B Corp framework helped us bring that belief into sharper focus. It challenged us to go deeper, to measure what matters, and to codify the values we’ve long held. It’s also held a mirror up to how we operate, giving us the tools to improve and the accountability to follow through.
What we’ve changed along the way
Our B Corp journey has touched every corner of our studio. It’s sparked meaningful conversations, introduced new policies, and challenged us to rethink what 'business as usual' should look like.
Here are just a few of the changes we’ve made:
- A sabbatical policy
We introduced sabbaticals to give our team the time and space to travel, learn, volunteer, or simply rest. Because time away isn’t time lost, it’s an investment in creativity, growth, and well-being.
- Ethical partnerships
We rolled out a Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that who we work with reflects what we stand for. From freelancers to printers, we’re making sure our impact extends beyond our own walls.
- Employee voice
Through regular employee satisfaction surveys, we’re making space for honest feedback, and using it to shape how we work. A better workplace isn’t built for people, but with them.
- Client feedback loops
We’ve built structured client feedback into our process. Because great relationships start with listening and grow with continuous improvement.
- Real climate action
We’ve measured and offset our emissions, but more importantly, we’ve put reduction plans in place. From sustainable travel policies to low-waste studios, we’re making low-impact choices the norm.
- A 9-day fortnight
One extra day off every two weeks. It’s a small shift with a big impact on rest, balance, and creativity.
- Volunteering with purpose
From getting our hands dirty at local community farms to supporting local initiatives, we’ve made volunteering part of our culture.
- Private health & dental
Looking after our team means making sure they have access to care, when they need it, without stress.
- Ethical pensions
Because where our money goes matters. We’ve ensured our pension provider offers ethical investment options that align with our values.
- ESG targets & carbon literacy
We’ve set ESG goals that keep us accountable and provided training so our team can help lead the way.
What's next?
We’re waiting (impatiently!) in the B Corp queue, but we’re not waiting to make a difference. Certification is on the horizon, but the changes we’ve made are here to stay. Because for us, this journey isn’t about a badge. It’s about being a better business, every day, in every decision.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more stories about our B Corp journey: the wins, the learnings, and the things we’re still working on. We’d love to hear how your business is stepping up, too.
Because the future of business is ethical, transparent, and human, and we’re here for it.
