Partnership

Partnering with GMA to amplify their vital work

The Global Mangrove Alliance (GMA) unites diverse stakeholders to promote large-scale, equitable mangrove conservation and restoration.

Over the last few years we've been working with GMA Members, such as Wetlands International, IUCN and TNC individually to support their mission through amplifying their messaging and comms to drive engagement and action. In June, 2023 this work transitioned into a more formal partnership with the GMA collective. And we have since collaborated with a variety of members across a range of projects, from visual identity, communicating complex information through data visualisation design, policy briefs, training material toolkits and more.

Benefits

Making your life easier and getting better results

Streamlined processes
With a dedicated account manager overseeing all projects, we have identified streamlining opportunities and adapted our processes to ensure total project efficiency. We have created bespoke briefing documents, built traditional product templates and much more!
Trusted creative custodians
As well as knowing the GMA brand inside and out, we have been able to ‘level up’ GMA’s creative output, creating new styles and assets for increased flexibility and greater impact.
Dedicated brand guardians
As guardians of the GMA brand, we’re in a unique position to be able to liaise with key member organisations. This insider perspective allows us to understand when campaigns are happening and who will be using them, so we can create accessible material (whether that’s in Canva or Adobe) and share globally. Ensuring continuity and consistency to aid recognition. It also allows us to advise and direct on usage.
Economies of scale
The more time we spend with the GMA team, immersing ourselves in their world and work, the more familiar we become. So we need less time to understand challenges, to find the right solution. We're also able to create templates of recurring material, such as policy briefs to save time on creative production. Essentially - the more we do, the less time we need, and the more cost effective we become.
Creative planning expertise
As an extension of the GMA team, we’re more immersed in the member organisations and their teams. This means we can work more closely with teams to understand challenges and goals, in turn allowing us to support and advise in project planning and ideation, to best support goals and increase impact.
Values alignment
Our partnership is grounded in a shared purpose - our commitment to designing for positive impact aligns seamlessly with the GMA's ethos. With a particular emphasis on initiatives which protect and restore our planet.

Mangrove Breakthroughs
Brand - Visual Identity - Design Toolkit

The Mangrove Breakthrough was launched at COP27, as a part of the Sharm El-Sheik Adaptation Agreement. The GMA in collaboration with the UN Climate Change High-level Champions unified to create the ‘Mangrove Breakthrough’ - a global approach to mangrove conservation. Built from science, measurable and achievable goals for non-state actors and governments to collectively restore and protect 15m hectares of mangroves globally by 2030, in order to ensure their future. However in order to achieve this, it is essential to unlock $4bn in investments.

Global Mangrove Restoration Guidelines
Consultation - Report design - Social Toolkit

Working with the Global Mangrove Alliance (GMA), we created the Global Mangrove Restoration Guidelines. This is a groundbreaking toolkit representing a significant milestone in the GMA's efforts to sustainably restore & safeguard one of our planets most precious ecosystems. This toolkit aims to guide project managers through best-practices for mangrove restoration. Built-in research, technical data & case studies, this document was rich in complex content. As a guide, navigation was key, so considering user journey & experience was at the forefront of our creative planning, as well as simplifying content to aid accessibility & engagement.
