We’re hiring – Project Manager

We are seeking a passionate Project Manager to join Yoke in our new studio in Frome.

We are growing our team at Yoke and are looking for a passionate and motivated Account/Project manager to join us on our mission. Everything we do has one goal: to make our world a better place.

We are a small studio with a team of 3 designers and 1 Senior Account Manager. You will be key in helping to manage projects smoothly. You will work closely with our Senior Account Manager to brief, plan, manage and execute our projects, organising our team and external resources when needed. Being comfortable with clients is a must as you will be in daily contact with them, to ensure project management runs efficiently.

Our lovely new studio is based in the heart of Frome. Just one hour from Bristol and 30 minutes from Bath, Frome is a hub of creativity, with great food and tons of independent shops.

What would make you a good fit?

  • A believer that design communications can make the world a better place
  • A clear understanding of the creative process around branding, design and animation
  • Willing to muck in, be flexible and get involved, this won’t be your average ‘big agency’ environment
  • A strong communicator and independent thinker. Whilst our Senior Account Manager will support you, you will need to use your initiative to also work independently at times
  • You are happy to work closely with an intimate team
  • Confidence to lead meetings both internally and with clients
  • An eye for detail, help us keep exceedingly high standards
  • Highly organised to keep projects running efficiently using our project management platform
  • Able to multitask to manage numerous different projects simultaneously
  • Able to manage and prioritise a varying workload

What will you be working on?

We work on a range of projects falling into 3 main areas, Branding, Design and Animation, so experience of running these types of projects is a must.

Core tasks

  • Supporting clients in writing creative briefs
  • Writing creative briefs for creatives (both internal and freelance)
  • Managing project deadlines, estimates, budgets and sign offs with the client
  • Managing project assets on our Dropbox file system
  • Managing time tracking of the team using Harvest (easy to learn)
  • Communicating with clients on a daily basis
  • Holding team check ins
  • Planning resource for upcoming projects - access to our freelance database to support this (with support from our SAM)
  • Leading client meetings and creative work supported by team members
  • Sense checking and proofreading content before it goes to clients

Additional tasks

At times we might ask you to be flexible and help with the following tasks:

  • Support managing our social media channels - posting content created by the team
  • Support newsletter content creation
  • Help plan our content marketing schedule


  • Ideally 3+ years experience in delivering projects of this nature in an agency setting
  • Delivering creative projects on time, on budget

Bonus experience

  • Worked with clients in the climate/sustainability/nature sector
  • Confident with sustainability terminology (we can support learning in this area)
  • Using Clickup as a project management tool
  • Using Harvest as time tracking
  • Confident writing
  • Background in sustainability


We have set up a new studio in Frome, Somerset and we would like this role to be based there, at least part time. It’s a workable 1hr commute from Bristol and we can discuss how to make that work for you, but 2-3 days minimum would be a nice aim to be in Frome.
